Last weekend I visited Tallinn with my homie Thomas. We booked a typical hotel trip thru Viking Line: 2.5 hour long ferry journeys and one night in Meriton Grand Conference & Spa Hotel. Hotel itself was pretty neat and clean, typical middle class hotel without surprises. Spa was a bit too crowded for real relaxation but sauna was hot and the jacuzzi warm enough (it could have been a few degrees warmer, too) situated on right in the outskirts of Old Town of Tallinn, about 10 minutes walk from the restaurants and cafes we’d visit.

During these two days we ate in two restaurants: Grillhaus Daube serving typical estonian-german blend of meat, potatoes and such. Very tasty food and a cozy atmosphere. Other restaurant we visited was La Bodega, which is a modern italian bistro with excellent vibe and little bit more playful menu. I’d visit both of these spots again.

Crown jewel of the weekend was sill a cafe called Amore. They served both super tasty lime-coriander cheese cake and tiramisu. I also found my 90 minute massage in Thai Rose very relaxing but still feel like I would have been hit by a truck.

Travelling with friends rocks and there’s still that new Maritime Museum that was on my itinerary but we forgot about it.
